Presque Isle State Park is a day use park located is a sandy peninsula located in Lake Erie. The location has historical significance and played an important role in the United States' victory over Britain in the Battle of Erie during the War of 1812. Presque Isle has also been designated by the PA DCNR as one of the Twenty Must-See Pennsylvania State Parks

The park offers great opportunities for families to go hiking and there are 11 miles of trails.

Makoshika State Park is the largest of Montana's state parks and is located in the rugged badlands of Eastern Montana. Many dinosaur fossils have been found in the park and the visitor center provides a small museum containing some local fossils.

Eldorado Canyon State Park is a day use park located in Boulder County, Colorado close to the city of Boulder and within proximity to Denver. The park's landscape is dominated by high sandstone cliffs and the deep canyon carved by the South Boulder Creek.

Rock climbing is a popular activity within the park. There are over 500 technical rock climbing routes established within Eldorado and climbers from around the world have come to ascend the towering rock faces.

Schooley's Mountain County Park is located in Long Valley, New Jersey on the site of the YMCA Camp Washington. There is an 8 acre lake that offers fishing and ice skating. A 470 foot floating bridge is a unique aspect of the park and provides access to the lake from Schooley's Mountain Park Lodge. The South Branch of the Raritan River flows through the southern end of the park. The park features upland meadows and a boulder-filled gorge.

Swatara State Park is located within the Swatara Valley of Pennsylvania between Second Mountain and Blue Mountain. The park was created in 1987 and remains largely undeveloped.
