Grand Canyon National Park is located in Coconino and Mohave counties, Arizona and protects over 1.2 million acres of the famous Grand Canyon. The canyon is a massive gorge formed by the Colorado River and is considered on of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long, 18 miles across at its widest and up to a mile deep.

Grand Canyon National Park was created in 1919 and is the United States 15-oldest national park. Over 4 million people visit the park annually to view the natural wonders of the canyon.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park is located in the badlands of western North Dakota. The park is named for the 26th President of the United States who is well regarded as a conservationist. The park has three sections: the Elkhorn Ranch Unit, the North Unit and the South Unit. The Little Missouri River winds through all three units and the Maah Daah Hey Trail connects all three units of the park.

Grand Teton National Park is located in northwestern Wyoming and includes the major peaks of the Grand Teton mountain range. The tallest peak is the 13775-foot Grand Teton, which towers above Jackson Hole. The park is 10 miles south of Yellowstone National Park and is part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Wind Cave National Park is located in western South Dakota. It was the seventh National Park to be established in the United States and the first cave to be designated a national park anywhere in the world. Wind Cave is the fifth-longest cave system in the world and 137 miles of caves have been explored. Above ground are mixed-grass prairie and ponderosa pine forest which provide habitat for a range of wildlife.

Everglades National Park covers over 1.5 million acres in the Florida Everglades and is the third largest national park in the 48 contiguous United States. The park was created to protect a fragile ecosystem of interconnected wetlands and is the largest mangrove ecosystem in the Western Hemisphere. It is one of only three places in the world to be designated as a World Heritage Site, an International Biosphere Reserve and a Wetland of International Importance.
