Round Valley Recreation Area

Round Valley Recreation Area is located at the Round Valley Reservoir in Lebanon, New Jersey. The reservoir covers 2000 acres and is 180 feet deep, making it the deepest lake in the state.

There are several hiking trails through the park, including the nine-mile Cushetunk Trail and the family-friendly Pine Tree Trail. The Wilderness family camp area has 85 wilderness tent sites with fire rings. Access to the campsites are by boat, canoe or a 3- to 6-mile hike from the parking area.

The reservoir offers great fishing and 19 species of fish inhabit the waters, including bass and trout. The day use area provides a boat launch and a beach complex for swimming. There are three picnic areas in the recreation area. Two of the picnic areas are located at the beach and a third is located on a hill overlooking the water.
