The magnificent Red Rock Canyon state park is the perfect place to explore this natural wonder, and visitors have been flocking to this site since the days of the Native Americans and probably even before.
Located in the town of Hinton, Red Rock Canyon state park is home to some of the most stunning scenery anywhere, and visitors to the park can camp right next to the canyon’s walls. The park offers plenty for visitors to see and do, with plenty of amenities to make them more comfortable. Some of the many amenities offered by the park include nature trails, a fishing pond, a playground and plenty of space for picnicking.
Red Rock Canyon state park is also home to a swimming pool that is open seasonally. The swimming pool is accompanied by a convenient bathhouse and a fully stocked concession stand, making it a favorite destination for children and families. Visitors can also enjoy a game of volleyball or just relax by the pool.
Those who want to spend the night can do so in a number of different ways, including both RV and tent campsites. In addition the park is home to a fully appointed group camp, offering overnight accommodations in bunk houses, along with a kitchen and dining hall. Smaller groups can rent one of the park’s group picnic shelters.
