Location
Oconee State Park is located in the Blue Ridge Mountain region of South Carolina. The park was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s and many of the original buildings remain in use within the park. The park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Camping is a popular family activity within Oconee State Park. The campground features campsites for both tents and RVs, many of which have water, electrical hookups and picnic tables. The campground also features restrooms and hot showers. There are 20 cabins that can be rented which are heated and furnished. The cabins contain a fireplace, refrigerator, stove, microwave oven and coffee maker.
There are two small lakes within the park that provide fishing and boating. There are also 8 trails within the park for hiking.
