Stillwater State Park is located in Groton, Vermont and is part of the Groton State Forest. The park is close to Montpelier, the state capital.
A major feature of the park is Lake Groton, which offers boating, fishing and swimming. A boat launch provides access to the lake.
Camping is a popular family activity and Stillwater is considered one of the top 5 places for family camping within the state. There are 62 campsites and 17 lean-tos. The campground has restrooms with hot showers. Pets are permitted to stay in campsites as long as they are properly leashed and have current vaccinations.
There are also plenty of opportunities for hiking. The park provides access to 17 miles of hiking trails and 20 miles of multi-use gravel roads within Groton State Forest.
